JD is professional and personable. I enjoyed working with him on my new headshots. He over-delivered at a reasonable price, too!

John is an awesome photographer and I love the space in the studio. I had to shoot some models and this place has a make up area in the back with salon chairs and mirrored lighting. It also had a steamer (great to use before shooting), a full bathroom and a cool lobby area. Not to many great places in LA/Beach like JD Starling Productions.

It also has plenty of street parking unlike a lot of studios in LA that have meters if they available. It's easy access from the street and you can unload everything from the back entrance if you need.

I've come here about 3 times already. Definitely recommend.

If you're looking for professionalism and creativity JD Starling Productions is IT! He's accommodating, and reasonably priced. You get exactly what you pay for. I've used his services on more than one occasion and I'm always satisfied.

John is a wonderful photographer. He made me feel so comfortable during my photo shoot and made me laugh so much.
I was a little skeptical about going to a place with so little reviews, but I'm glad I decided to give him a try anyway. John listened to my needs and made it happen. During my shoot I didn't want to smile because I didn't want my braces to show. He made me smile anyway. To my surprise he photoshopped my braces off of my teeth! Lol! He had my digital prints edited and emailed to me within 24hrs!
I recommend JD to anyone who is looking for a professional photographer that's willing to go the extra mile!

I've shot at this studio with John numerous times and have always left with amazing images for my modeling portfolio. The studio is in a great location and has a nice dressing/makeup room with a well lit vanity to get ready in. Not only does John have a great eye for photography and lighting his welcoming personality makes each experience enjoyable. I highly recommend this studio for headshots and fashion shoots. You won't be disappointed!
